Frequently Asked Questions

How do I dress when visiting the Ice Palace?

We recommend dressing like you are going skiing. The warmer you are the happier you will be.
Boots are a must. Also have coat, snow pants, gloves, and hat.

Where are you located?

The Ice Palace is located through the woods from LaBelle Lake at Krupp Scout Hollow. The address is different than LaBelle Lake's. It is in-between Rigby and Rexburg, just off Exit 325.
Address: 688 North 4200 East Rigby, ID 83442.

Tell me more about the sleigh ride. How long is it? Is it worth the extra money?

We have heard from many people that the horse-drawn sleigh ride was their favorite part about the Ice Palace experience. For only $8 more/person, it is totally worth it! It sells out almost every night so be sure to buy tickets online. The ride itself is about 5-7 minutes through the woods to the LaBelle Lake Resort where there is sledding (tubes included), fire pits, and free hot chocolate. You are welcome to stay there as long as you would like. You can also check out the treehouse gazebo on the grounds while you're there!

How long does it take to walk through the ice palace?

We get this question a lot but different groups stay for different amounts of time. If you just want to quickly walk through to see the ice, you might only be there 15 minutes (not recommended). Other groups (who dress warm) stay for an hour or two. On the weekends we have a fire show every 30 minutes you have to stay and watch as well as your favorite snowman and winter princesses who visit! There are also fire pits you can hang out around and visit in a beautiful and magical environment. To complete the experience be sure to do the horse drawn sleigh ride. This is the favorite part for many groups!

Are you open on Holidays?

Since this is a family run business our holiday hours vary to allow our employees to enjoy time with their families. We will be open on Christmas Eve from 12pm -8pm and closed Christmas Day. We WILL be open New Years Eve and closed New Years Day.

Can I bring a wheelchair or stroller?

Yes, but we recommend bringing a stroller with large wheels or better yet bring a sled you can pull around. You will be walking through ice and snow so at times it might be difficult to have wheels.  We have had people come in wheelchairs and have been able to do it but again it might be difficult depending on the amount of snow fall we've had.
