First, we'll provide a great space for everyone to get ready. With a 7,000 sq-ft lodge, there is plenty of space for everyone! In fact, there's so much space you can keep the tradition of not seeing each other before the ceremony! Capture all the details of your first moments of forever & enjoy every bit of it.
Now is the moment you've been preparing for; it's time to walk down the aisle! There's so many things to think about, but we're here to help! Here's a few things to think about before the big moment:
1. What music are you walking down to? It's always great to have one song for the bridal party & a second song specifically for you! This makes your moment extra special. Don't forget about an exit song either!
2. Who's walking down with you? Don't worry too much about traditions, they're changing all the time! Just pick someone close & important to you. Parents, grandparents and even siblings work. Or walk down the aisle by yourself!
3. Who else will be walking down the aisle? This could include anyone from your bridal party, family members, flower girls and ring bearers!
These are all details we want to make sure are catered to you. This day is just as important to us as it is to you. We want every detail to be perfect and just the way you want it. This is why we set up a meeting two months before your wedding so we can cover all the little details to ensure everything to do with LaBelle Lake is just right!
After the ceremony, leave time for pictures! Gather all your loved ones and be sure to capture these moments. Take time with your new husband or wife and capture moments together all over our property. After-all, you do have 7 acres of gorgeous land to use!
Here are some must have pictures to take:
One big group photo. This ensures everyone from your wedding is included in at least on picture.
Family photos. Make sure to get pictures with each family and then break up in to smaller groups. Siblings, parents and extended family members are some examples.
Bridal party photos. You picked these people to stand by you when you said "I do." So it's only fair they all get some pictures with you.
Just the two of you. It's your day, so wander around the property and take endless amounts of pictures. Really, there is no limit!
Lastly, it's time for the reception. It's a daunting task. You have to keep these people entertained for several hours and love every second of it. Not to worry though, because we, at LaBelle Lake, have a full-proof list of activities that will keep your guests entertained.
Toasts. Every wedding needs them. Let your family & friends express their love to you and cry while they do it!
Cutting the Cake. It's a classic. Although, you don't have to do it with cake. Pies, brownies, cupcakes and even cookies work just great!
First Dances. Dancing bonds people together. Let it bond you to your new husband or wife. It's also a perfect opportunity for your parents to tell you how much they love you. So let them!
Bouquet & Garter Toss. They're cheesy, we know. But they're so fun too!
Canoes & Paddleboat's. Not every wedding venue has the luxury of providing canoes and paddleboat's for their guests. However, we do! So take advantage of them.
Tomahawk Throwing. It's super fun, exciting and keeps guests entertained for a while. Plus, it's really unique and something you don't see often at weddings.
Dancing. The later the night gets, the better the dancing gets. Just make sure to get yourself a good DJ. Our favorites are on our website!
